Cerita dibuka dengan Abel (Nadine), yang akan menikah dengan Wisnu (Yama). Senang akan rencana tersebut, Abel tentu saja berbagi kebahagiaannya dengan sobat baiknya Charlie (Keith). Namun apa yang terjadi, Abel justru kedatangan seorang perempuan hamil yang mengaku kalau anak yang dikandung adalah anak Wisnu dan memohon pada Abel untuk membatalkan pernikahannya, jika tidak, maka dia akan mengacaukan pernikahan mereka.
Kecewa luar biasa, Abel pun memutuskan untuk bunuh diri. Beruntung nyawa Abel masih bisa terselamatkan, kendati pasca sadar dari koma ia mulai mengalami berbagai peristiwa aneh. Sebagai anak kota, tentu saja Abel tak percaya akan setan.
Makanya, ketika tinggal di Vila milik Charlie untuk mendekor ulang, Abel tak merasa gentar kala bertemu dengan Wida (Oxcel). Memang Wida tidak menampilkan sosok menyeramkan, tapi ia tetap misterius dan setia menemani Abel setiap malam. Namun begitu, tak hanya Wida, Abel mulai diteror banyak sosok yang mengancam hidupnya. Dan satu-satu cara untuk selamat, hanyalah jika Abel memilih untuk mati sekali lagi.
Bagaimana akhir dari kisah Abel? Benarkah semua bayangan Abel kenyataan, atau semua itu hanya banyangan semata karena ia tengah koma atau mati suri? Silakan Anda cari tahu jawabnya.
Yang pasti, lewat tangan dingin Rizal Mantovani, film ‘Mati Suri’ mampu membuat penontonnya bergidik. Terutama setting vila yang kelam, serta setting yang lebih banyak di malam hari semakin memperkuat suasana. Bukan hanya itu saja, bunyi jam kuno yang selalu berdentang tiga kali memiliki arti tersendiri.
